String Teacher for El Sistema-inspired Summer Camp in Price Hill, Cincinnati

Sunday, August 12 to Friday, August 17
2 hours on Sunday, 8:30am –12:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 2pm on Friday

$400 for the week
Out-of-town applicants: we can provide housing (but not food or travel expenses)

Teach private and group lessons
Lead orchestra rehearsals
Teach students of various levels, including beginners (never touched instruments before)
Oversee volunteers
Help supervise students as they arrive and depart
Communicate with parents
Assist program director with additional tasks

Must be extremely flexible
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable teaching a variety of ages and levels in one group
Understanding of El Sistema and mission of MYCincinnati
Experience teaching group lessons preferred
Passionate about music
Ability to work as a team
Must be organized, patient and encouraging
Open to teaching under frequent observation
Some knowledge of Spanish language a plus
